ABOUT THE SONG:

Indigo Syndicate has never shied away from pushing the edges of their sound, and their latest release, “DND,” is the perfect example. The alt-leaning band slips confidently into R&B territory here, exploring a darker, mood driven palette that suits them surprisingly well. From the opening bars, the track pulls you into a rhythmic introduction that sets the stage for a journey through mixed signals and shifting perspectives, each verse spotlighting a different band member’s emotional lens.

The first vocal lands with understated swagger, as he sings: “I’ve been gone for the weekend she told me come home / All the texts are turning green DND on my phone / I got this weight on me / So wait on me”. His delivery walks the line between casual detachment and quiet vulnerability, a tone mirrored perfectly in the production: spacious, moody, and textured. It flows seamlessly into the hook: “You haven’t heard a thing I said / I’ve been getting left on read / I’m stressing, now you’re messing with my head, I’ll come around so wait on me”

It’s introspective without losing its cool. The second verse introduces a female perspective, offering a refreshing counterpoint and shifting the emotional dynamic of the track. By the time the final section rolls in, the mood tilts toward late-night club energy, a sonic shift that feels intentional rather than abrupt, evoking a modern, Drake-esque atmosphere while still retaining the band’s distinct identity.

“DND” feels like Indigo Syndicate stretching creatively, and sounding completely at home while doing it.

LYRICS:

PART I

[FIRST VERSE]

I’ve been gone for the weekend she told me come home

All the texts are turning green dnd on my phone

She ask what i mean when i say im alone

As she’s down on her knees begging please babe don’t go

I got this weight on me

So wait on me

I try and try to make you see

But c’est la vie

You need to get away from me

So let me leave

I’m never gonna make you be

The one I need

[CHORUS]

You haven’t heard a thing I said

I’ve been getting left on read

I’m stressing now you’re messing

With my Head

I’ll come around

so wait on me

Wait on me

You haven’t heard a thing I said

I’ve been getting left on read

I’m stressing now you’re messing

With my head

I’ll put it down

Just wait on me

Wait on me

[SECOND VERSE]

You don’t have to say

What I did

Already know

That you and your friends

Talking on the phone

All night long

I know I’m wrong

But can I see you again

Timeless

Priceless

Shake it for a dollar don’t save me

Pile it

Pilot

Takin drugs for everybody’s safety

Pay me twin ya better pay me

VVS in my decisions you can’t hate me

So you can sit around

Waiting on my time

I’ll be back when I feel like

[CHORUS]

PART II

[THIRD VERSE]

See I’ve been moving numbers just to get the bag right (I’ve been saying)

You could do it too but boy you slagged right (I ain’t playing)

Nothing left to do but get the crew

I’d wish I was me if I was you

Now I’m cruising down the block

Listening to pac

Wrist twist in the pot boy we got a lock

Oo now we really cooking

Watchu finna do with a lot of cash

Tell me watchu finna do with a lot of cash

She wanna make a couple Ms

Get a lot of bands

She wanna go up to club

Spend it with her friends

She just wanna

[CHORUS 2]

Go dance

Do your dance yeah

Shake your ass

Make a fan yeah

Find yo man

That’s not yo man

baby wait on me

Wait on me

(X2)
